I know we're here on the set of Friday the 13th. But I have to ask some Supernatural questions. When do you guys go back to shooting again?

Jared Padalecki: As of right now, we are supposed to start in the first week of July. Of course the strike is a big issue. But they want to have us paired with Smallville. And Smallville is going to start shooting really early. So they want us to start shooting early, so they can air all of the episodes together.

Have you seen any scripts from the first couple of episodes?

Jared Padalecki: No, uh-uh. I haven't seen anything. Hat's off to Eric (Kripe). The only person I have talked with is Jensen. He and I keep in touch. But we haven't seen any scripts or read any of the scripts. We haven't even heard any of the ideas that they have.

You know that all of the fans are freaking out because they thought Jensen was off the show? But clearly not.

Jared Padalecki: I'm hoping clearly not. I think his plan is to be in Vancouver when I am in Vancouver. I pray to God that he comes back. Because that means every day, all day, there would be no one there to bear the burden except me. But, no, I'm sure that Jensen will be a huge part of the series. Just as he has always been. He's just in Hell this time out.

Jared Padalecki, uma das estrelas da serie Supernatural, disse aos jornalistas que irá começar a filmar a próxima quarta temporada, em julho, partindo do princípio de que não irá haver greve de actores.

O actor disse :

"A partir de agora - Sim, Eu acho que a greve é um problema enorme", disse Padalecki, em entrevista a um grupo com o conjunto de seu filme Friday the 13th, em Austin, Texas, em 6 de junho. "Mas, a partir de agora, nós somos supostos para iniciar a primeira semana de julho, porque querem tê-la no ar juntamente com Smallville."

Padalecki acrescentou que ele não tem visto quaisquer scripts para a nova temporada, no entanto, nem  tem falado com o criador Eric Kripke. "A única pessoa que eu falei na verdade foi com Jensen Ackles .

Eric Kripke, criador da série tinha na sua mente planeado , o caminho que devia continuar a série… mas também não será possível.

Inicialmente, foi destinado a quarta temporada que havia uma guerra "demoníaco" de alguma importância, mas com o novo orçamento imposto pela Warner Brothers, o estúdio que produz a série, a guerra poderia simplesmente ficar em muito pouco do que foi inicialmente ele tinha planeado .

I've had a long-term theory regarding Sam and his visions — that they were not his but given to him by YED through the connection of blood, which he used to keep track of and communicate with the chosen children. Eric Kripke: It's an interesting theory… but I'd be crazy to confirm or deny. Sorry, but you just have to keep guessing.

Is there any chance you'll ever appear in a brief cameo role? — ckll
Kripke: No, no. It's funny, when I'm in the writers' room or discussing a scene with a director, I tend to be quite animated, acting out the parts and reading the lines the way I see them in my head. And so it's become a running joke that the writers and directors are always asking when I'm gonna go up and shoot a part already, because I'm clearly a frustrated actor. But the thing is, I'm a deeply, deeply terrible actor, so no friggin' way. After my performance in the lead role of Southview High School's You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, I swore never to torture an audience like that again.
Do you have any plans to extend Season 4, since the strike shortened Season 3 to only 16 episodes? — acsgrlie
Kripke: I was certainly willing to; the entire writing staff was rested and ready after the strike. But alas, the network only ordered 22 episodes, so we'll be presenting our usual length.

Though the CW has been struggling mightily in the ratings lately, it looks like they're going to be loyal to their most popular shows throughout the next season.  Today the network announced early renewals for six of their series, all of which will be returning next fall:  Supernatural, One Tree Hill, Smallville, America's Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, and Everybody Hates Chris.  Yes, fans of the Winchester brothers, who are always wary that Supernatural is on the verge of cancellation, can finally breathe a sigh of relief.  The network announced that all of these shows are essential to the network's identity and pull in solid ratings, especially among the important demographic of women 18-34.

In a previous interview we posted with Supernatural writer Sera Gamble, she said that the show's chances for a fourth season looked very good.  "If this were Vegas and I had $100 in my pocket, I'd put $92 on a Season Four pickup," she admitted.  "Then spend the other $8 on a strong drink if I'm wrong."  It looks like she won't need that drinking money after all.
